For some people, their favorite guilty pleasure could lead to a very premature death. Throughout history, smoking cigarettes has led to higher risks of developing different kinds of cancers and other health problems. Most people who are smokers are unaware of how serious their addiction actually is. Not only are they deteriorating their bodies, they are harming others in the process. Even if people are not concerned about their own health, they should at least be thoughtful be considerate enough to be mindful of people around them, particularly their own family. There have been over fourteen different types of cancer that are linked to the thousands of dangerous chemicals found in tobacco smoke. Smokers are most susceptible to lung cancer, but sinus and nasal cavities, stomach, liver, and kidney cancers are also effects of smoking cigarettes. People who smoke cigarettes are twenty times more likely to develop lung cancer than non-smokers.
